Fils de Jean Pierre Tr\u00e9tout, cultivateur, et de Marie Corentine Billon, m\u00e9nag\u00e8re, il grandit dans un milieu rural profond\u00e9ment marqu\u00e9 par la langue bretonne, les traditions et la foi catholique. La vie y est rythm\u00e9e par les pardons, la messe dominicale et l\u2019attachement visc\u00e9ral \u00e0 la paroisse. Cette Bretagne rurale des ann\u00e9es 1910-1930 forge en lui une spiritualit\u00e9 simple, enracin\u00e9e et communautaire.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Une vocation sacerdotale pr\u00e9coce<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">D\u00e8s son jeune \u00e2ge, Fran\u00e7ois Marie Tr\u00e9tout manifeste une vocation religieuse affirm\u00e9e. Il effectue ses \u00e9tudes au petit s\u00e9minaire puis au grand s\u00e9minaire de Kemper (Quimper). Ordonn\u00e9 pr\u00eatre en 1939, \u00e0 seulement 25 ans, il est nomm\u00e9 vicaire auxiliaire \u00e0 Plonevez-ar-Faou (Plon\u00e9vez-du-Faou), une paroisse rurale du centre-Finist\u00e8re. Son minist\u00e8re, bien que bref, s\u2019inscrit dans la tradition d\u2019un clerg\u00e9 breton souvent proche des r\u00e9alit\u00e9s locales. Influenc\u00e9 par le renouveau catholique breton des ann\u00e9es 1930 (revues comme Feiz ha Breiz), il incarne ce sacerdoce discret o\u00f9 la fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 au Christ et l\u2019attachement \u00e0 la Bretagne se conjuguent naturellement, sans militantisme politique affich\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Le minist\u00e8re dans la tourmente de la guerre<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Nomm\u00e9 vicaire \u00e0 Leuhan en 1939 puis \u00e0 Plonevez-ar-Faou en 1942, l\u2019abb\u00e9 Tr\u00e9tout exerce son sacerdoce dans un contexte de plus en plus tendu. La Seconde Guerre mondiale bouleverse la vie paroissiale. Comme beaucoup de pr\u00eatres bretons, il reste fid\u00e8le \u00e0 sa mission pastorale aupr\u00e8s des fid\u00e8les, loin des engagements politiques. Pourtant, dans certaines zones contr\u00f4l\u00e9es par les maquis FTP (communistes), le simple fait d\u2019\u00eatre un pr\u00eatre catholique breton suffit \u00e0 \u00e9veiller la haine des marxistes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">L\u2019assassinat du 29 ao\u00fbt 1944<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Dans le chaos du d\u00e9part de l&rsquo;arm\u00e9e allemande, une vague de violences anticl\u00e9ricales et de r\u00e8glements de comptes frappe le clerg\u00e9 breton. Le mardi 29 ao\u00fbt 1944, l\u2019abb\u00e9 Tr\u00e9tout apprend qu\u2019un cantonnement de \u00ab r\u00e9sistants \u00bb communistes se trouve au lieu-dit Kergoneg, \u00e0 Plo\u00ebven, sous les ordres du lieutenant \u00ab Le Guern \u00bb, qu\u2019il consid\u00e8re comme un ami. Il d\u00e9cide de s\u2019y rendre. Refus\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019entr\u00e9e du cantonnement, il rebrousse chemin. Sur la route qui le ram\u00e8ne vers Plo\u00ebven, trois hommes arm\u00e9s lui tirent dans le dos. Bless\u00e9, il est achev\u00e9 \u00e0 terre. Des balles traversent m\u00eame ses souliers et ses pieds, selon le t\u00e9moignage manuscrit d\u2019Yves Billon, ancien maire de Plo\u00ebven. Ce meurtre gratuit s\u2019inscrit dans une s\u00e9rie d\u2019assassinats visant des pr\u00eatres soup\u00e7onn\u00e9s d\u2019\u00eatre trop \u00ab bretons \u00bb ou trop catholiques (comme les abb\u00e9s Perrot ou Lec\u2019hvien).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Un silence officiel et une m\u00e9moire militante<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Aucune enqu\u00eate s\u00e9rieuse n\u2019est ouverte \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque. Les autorit\u00e9s, \u00e0 forte composante communiste, ferment les yeux sur ces ex\u00e9cutions commises. Les obs\u00e8ques de l\u2019abb\u00e9 Tr\u00e9tout sont discr\u00e8tes, marqu\u00e9es par la peur des repr\u00e9sailles. Son nom, comme celui de plusieurs confr\u00e8res, est longtemps effac\u00e9 des r\u00e9cits officiels. Sa vie courte (30 ans) et sa mort violente symbolisent la pers\u00e9cution d\u2019une Bretagne rurale, catholique et identitaire face \u00e0 la terreur du n\u00e9o-jacobinisme communiste.
